This new legislation affects Survival, Immersion & Abandonment Suits

Following the IMO MES 78th Session of Maritime Safety Committee, the amendments will require a change in the number of Immersion suits to be carried on board cargo and bulk vessels.

These ships must carry one suit for every person on board. With this new legislation immersion suits will become, as lifejackets, a personal life-saving appliance for each person on board thus offering increased thermal protection and improved chance of survival.
