Safety Group Profile
ISP
is a member of the International Safety Group. The group was
originally founded in 1982, based on a core business of trading
in Military clothing and accessories.
The political
environment gradually changed throughout the 80's and the
company moved into R & D facilities for the Marine Industry.
This gradually evolved into manufacturing of lifejackets and
distribution of products such as Zodiac liferafts.
In 1992/3
the company started to expand it's lifejacket facilities and
between 94 and 97 eventually progressed to be Europe's largest
manufacturer of inflatable lifejackets, focusing in the main
on the supply of own label products to the leisure industry,
with over 90% of it's production being exported around the
world.
From
around 96, the company started to also manufacture inflatable
lifejackets for military use and to date has secured many
major contracts for both Naval and Army usage.
From
94 the company also started to develop the concept of supplying
turnkey/system supply contracts for total safety product packages,
especially to the offshore oil industry and to date the company
has successfully completed several major contracts. This operation
has now been extended to include vessel new builds, with the
concept that buyers can source many products at competitive
prices via single source systems.
The company
also manufactures a range of immersion suits, which again
are sold worldwide.
The Zodiac
distribution operation now sells in excess of 300 liferaft/rescue
boats (all SOLAS standard) mainly in the UK, but also to selected
areas around the world.
Quality
- The Company is an IS09001 registered company. Its manufactured
products. I.E Lifejackets etc, are all tested to either CEN
Standards (CE393, 396, 399) or SOLAS products, to the latest

The Group
has a turnover of over £3 million and employs 40 staff
at its Liverpool factory. The Company only sells to the trade
